Storytelling is one of the most impactful ways to connect, inspire and shape a vision for the future. And video and imagery is the best way to tell your story and connect with your audience. I occasionally travel out of country for video productions, but mainly spend my time working with clients in the Greater Nashville Areas.
I am filmmaker at heart and approach all my video productions from a storyteller's perspective.
I have produced and edited hundreds of projects including some of the largest companies in the world. (see my LinkedIn page for corporate client list (and detailed work history). I'm an award-winning filmmaker, Certified in video post-production, Final Cut Pro, Motion Graphics and After Effects AND can chew gum and walk at the same time! :-).
Tommy Merry Productions is a full-service film, video and music production company serving the Greater Sacramento Area to the California Bay Area. We offer everything from music videos, corporate videos, small business videos, to crowdfunding videos.
The first film I ever wrote and directed was entitled "A Form of Guilt". It was a whopping 30 minute short film that somehow ended up getting an actual theatrical release for a month. The bug had bitten me! I read a mountain of
books on filmmaking, casting, directing, cinematography and editing. I then finished up my informal training by enrolling in an online college course that was a joint venture between UCLA,
Australian Film, Television and Radio School and the National Film and Television School of Great Britain, called Global Film School. After that I studied at BAVC in San Francisco to earn my Final Cut Pro Certification as well as certification in Post-production and After Effects. Fun story so far, right? :-)
That gave me the incentive to direct my award-winning, short horror film #19. It won first place at the Nightmare to Remember film festival in San Francisco, and recived several distribution deals.
At the same time, I was working as a webmaster at Sun Microsystems for 12 years, but ended up switching my focus to corporate video production for the company. When Sun was sold to Oracle, and my tenure ended, I began working as a freelance video journalist and producing literally 100's of corporate and music videos while working on my filmmaking craft.
I have developed 5 feature screenplays durring the last 5 years with two very talented co-authors: Jason White and Curtis Pennington.
I'm presently working on a faith-based feature Called "Why Lord, Why?" which explores the tragedies we face in life, the meaning of life itself, and what may be await us when this life is over. Contact me if you are:
