In this lesson we are discussing “getting twice as much impact out of your solos”. There are probably dozens of ways to do this, but let’s just take a look at one of them to start you off.<\/p>\n

So you got a few killer licks…You want to take it to the next level?<\/p>\n

Double up your riffs!<\/p>\n

I know this sounds like simple stuff, But it Ain’t!<\/p>\n

The key to really whoopin’ some butt on this is to push-your-limits. I’m going to show you a basic version of the concept. You will learn it, then apply it to some of your arpeggios, chordal solos or riffs. Don’t wimp out, really spend some time with this one…It’s why you’re reading this lesson!!!<\/p>\n

  1. Start with a B bar chord (its root being on the E string)<\/li>\n
  2. The pattern will be two steps forward..One step back. Two steps forward..One step back until you reach the highest note. In this case it’s Skip a string come back one…Skip a string come back one ie. EE-DD-AA-GG-DD-BB-GG-ee<\/li>\n
  3. Remember this is just the string picking order, not the note order which will be fully described in the TAB below.<\/li>\n
  4. Once learned…play it real fast to hear its unique sound.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
